After years of languishing in obscurity, music contests such as American Idol, Nashville Star and other have attained enormous popularity. The Next Patriotic Classic is a new approach to the old "songwriting contest" concept. TNPC is an internet music contest that provides an opportunity for songwriters to submit holiday song entries for possible cash awards and prizes. However, we've incorporated many new angles in this contest. First of all, there is currently NO entry fee. Secondly, while winning the contest will be reward enough in itself, we'll also be working to make it only the first step in the exposure of your music. Finalists will also have their songs presented to major label artists for possible inclusion on their upcoming holiday releases. Also, instead of relying on old technologies that stretched contests out for months at a time, we're working in the internet age. Submission, judging, voting, as well as determination and notification of winners can now be accomplished in a matter of just weeks.
